Hood Scoop?

I'm looking to get a hood scoop for my taco. Should I get a whole new hood or just a stick on scoop? BTW, my hood does have some rust spots.

Buy one or search craigslist for one. Once in a blue moon, there will be somebody on here willing to trade theirs.

 

Whatever you do, don't get a "stick on" scoop of any kind. Save that for Honda Civics with coffee can mufflers.

Keep in mind that the factory scoop is not functional, nor can it be made functional.

Even if opened up, it's in a low pressure zone.

 

But it's OEM, and by the power of the Toyota gods, that makes it acceptable.

There's a new scoop hood for sale near me for $50, I thought about it but then thought about it again and reached the concensus with myself that it would look silly.

I like skewps.

 

When you are driving in bright sunlight the hood scope will often bounce a reflection right into your eyes. It also limits your field of view. There is nothing practical about them.

 

I like the looks of the scoop from the outside but I just had a dealer loaner with one and hated it while driving
