Just got done with remote batter terminal posts to jump start someone, attached them to my lower ARB bumper. I replaced the front grill with a Grillcraft one but forgot to order the 2 small inserts. Put a Warrior axe and shovel mount to the ARB bumper but not sure if I like the look. Onward to future modifications as I can afford them.

How secure are they? Looks like those bolts would loose with all the vibration. Have you thought if you were to hit something where would the axe fly to. Maybe a second security for those, just incase. Knocking on wood now.

That large vacant space attached to the back of your cab is called a bed, you should use that to carry stuff around in, that shit looks retarded.

You must drive in a nice neighborhood. In my area, the tools wouldn't last 15 minutes before someone steals them.

I'm gonna have to agree the front end would look alot cleaner without the tools... like mentioned the bed would be a great spot to secure them. Nice looking truck btw. :)

Think yaw are right will remove and try to come up with a better place. Do not want to use up bed space was going to go with roof rack but at a cost of over 800.00 dollars for Baja and the loss of gas mileage decided not to buy. Went with the 80.00 warrior mount.

I like the idea you have for installing those remote terminals, I just think they're going to get smashed all to hell where they are. They would be a lot safer and easier to get to mounted on the top surface of the bumper.

    Grille looks fresh!

Bro, with a bumper as bulky (sticks out) like that the last thing you want to do is hang crap off the front of it. You also never want to leave equipment unsecured. WTF are they teaching you squids? I was raised well and work hard, but I would steal that shit as soon as you walked away.

Pictures of my shovel, ax, trunk monkey mag light, fire extinguisher, Fenix PD 32 Flash Light. Changed my initial install of ax and shovel mount after most every reply was negative. Could not get the ax installed behind the shovel - it was just too tight a fit. Looked at lots of pictures and how other people installed them on this site.

Coastie, it's your truck - do what YOU like with it. I LOVE when people try new things. Frankly, I liked the look of the gear on the front, even though I did think of the same angle someone else mentioned - what if it gets loose? Heck, I've always been a sucker for the fire truck look!

Maybe try fabbing sliders with built in storage? That'd be pretty cool, and should be doable for a shovel and axe, at the expense of a smidge of ground clearance.

Now, all THAT said, only one thing is left to say...

    NICE TRUCK!

...and thanks for serving the community, too. ;)

I thought it looked pretty badass how you had it rigged originally, but definitely a road safety issue if you were to get in a head on collision, all those tools can turn into sharp projectiles to cause more damage than a regular wreck.

I like how you rearranged everything, though I would say you should probably still move the shovel, mainly cause where it sits I'd imagine it reduces your approach angle/clearance, and secondly because if your front end gets stuck in some odd way, your shovel might be hard to get too.

Have you seen this thread by chance? May be a good way to accommodate both your axe and shovel next to one another in the bed.

I liked it, although more for a camping or offroad trip. I use my truck for camping and travel, but also as a DD so I probably wouldn't have the shovel and axe there all the time.

Looks badass though, and if I was on safari or something comparable, I certainly wouldn't be taking up precious bed cargo space if I had a solution like this.
