Today I spilled a FULL cup of sweet iced tea ALL over our desk...80% of it went into my wifeys keyboard. I "rinsed" it off and put it outside to dry for the day. A bit ago I plugged it up and no workie!! No lights, no nothing..

Before I go and buy a new one in the next 30 mins.... Is the old one focked? Can it be fixed?

ty for your time to respond :)

It may or may not work in a day or so. My experience has been it will stop working again when it's least convenient. I would head out to Fry's.

It's over. It'll probably never work properly again. Unless she demands an uber-nice keyboard, it's a relatively cheap replacement. If it does start to work again, at least you have a backup.

 Sweet Iced Tea is my favorite drink. I wish they served 'southern style sweet tea' out here, love it when I visit my family in missouri.

Back when Bluetooth just came out, I got a really nice, and very expensive Logitech keyboard. It was awesome. Had all the bells and whistles and I was in love with it. Then my wife (Fiancee at the time) gave it a nice bath in some tasty orange juice.

Let it dry out, started working again, but the keys were always sticky. At least I had a good excuse for the stickiness ;)

I have personally known several people that did this. Let it dry for a week someplace with A/C and low humidity and try it again. One day isn't long enough! It takes a week......put it next to a fan. Totally dryed out, no reason at all it shouldn't work. Oh...you spilled "sweet" tea? If not Sweet 'N Low, FORGETTABOUIT!!!! THE keys will stick stick stick stick

I know a guy that peed all over his room mates keyboard. They left it out in the sun for a week and it worked just fine.
