UPDATE: For anyone just tuning in... my heart no longer hurts and I am happy with my 265/75/16ers. I just needed a dose of TW common sense and to lose the "must buy" bug.

I just can't stop thinking "I should have bought 285s..." Tell me I'm wrong. I have 5100s at 1.75 up front to eliminate rake. Would 285s have looked sick... or too stuffed?

    Me and my baby 265/75/16's....

    265x?
Mine are 256/75/16, but more backspacing makes for a more aggressive stance. I really wanted 285s, but didn't want to cut up the fenders yet, or find out I need to do a CMC. I know people with 285 and a 3" lift with lots of cutting, and they still rub off road. That alone sold me on the 265/75/16 tires.

Good point. Maybe i'll space them out 1.5 inches and be happy. I just hate the idea of the freshly exposed tire launching a rock into my paint lol.

you could wheel the shit out of your truck and replace those tires in half that time!

honestly they are so new might be able to get a good deal/trade in for em?

I personally think it looks sharp. I'm considering those exact tires so thanks for giving me a visual of what to expect.

Cramming 285s on stock rims would likely require 1.5" of spacing anyway right? I think i'll space... If I still can't get that warm and fuzzy, i'll then swap up for 285's. Maybe...

I've got 265's as well. Sometimes I think 285's would be nice, but mpg, power, and trimming a 2012 keep me on path. Maybe one day, but not now.

Thats what Im thinking. 1.5" out and hub centric if I they can be found for decent $. I like that aggressive stance.
