I have a question about the bilstein 5100 rear shocks. Does these shocks give you a lift or are they the same length as the stock shocks?

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Rear bilsteins will not provide lift. The only way to lift the rear is with an AAL, new leaf pack, or block (not recommended).

as everyone else said rear shocks don't provide lift.

the truck is held up by the leaf springs, the shocks just dampen movement of the leafs

but to answer the second part of your question there are stock length and extended length rear 5100's for stock or lifted applications

Ok thanks y'all, and why do you not recommend a block lift with those shocks?

Said to increase axle wrap, and lead to premature/worse negative arc in the existing leaf pack.

Edit..............doesn't matter what shocks, the blocks aren't good for axle wrap or arch at all.

Are the 5100's better than the stock yellow/blue Bilsteins that came with the TRD package? My truck always bottoms out going over this shitty speed table (basically a larger speed bump) and slams on the bump stops.

I'm not about to get a new set of leaves, but wondered if these shocks hold any greater advantage over stock.

Thanks, I wanted a better shock with no lift and these fit the bill!

Know of any options that give no lift, are better than Toyota and do not increase the harshness of the ride? Basically how it should have come from the factory with no weakness, no squeaking and no lift.

    enough to go over stuff
Lots of good info on this thread for new people to TW. I feel like this thread should permanently reside on the home page of tacoma world in addition to the question of "How do I get a 3 in lift".

wheelers offers a "HD" leaf pack that does not add much, if any lift.
