Below 2k, not much inside the cab....2K and up and under load, yes.

It also depends on ur intake.....yes it rlly makes a small difference.

Stock will be a little quieter than with an afe stage 2Si for instance.......or atleast that's what I seemed to notice.

I used to hate the stage 2Si because it caused a resonating tone u could hear in the cab by the glove box area......

Now all I hear is whine when im on the gas hard......I also don't hear any rasp from the urd 3" exhaust anymore when im on the gas. Or atleast very little rasp compared to n/a.

I have yet to hear the truck drive by tho................... so I have no clue how it sounds outside and hustlin.

Does the super charger do anything to cut down the life of the engine?

I've been searching and haven't found an answer to this one: If you've got a bunch of weight in add ons and tires, is it better to SC or re-gear?

    Is now SuperCharged
That would probably depend on how much weight "a bunch" really is. I've still got the stock TRD OR package tires and wheels on my supercharged 2013 Taco so I'm not sure how much the bigger/taller/heavier tires and wheels will affect things. I know in my 09 Rubicon when I put taller tires on it went from bad to worse and it already had 4.10's but they super suck for power anyway so I can't really compare it to a V6 Taco, especially one that has a SC.

As for motor life with a SC. I think these TRD SC kits are sooooooooooooooo stinking conservative it likely won't have any affect on longevity unless you abuse it all the time. In that case, motor life could be shortened but in normal use mode I doubt anything will change. I'm more interested to know how long the bearings and the screws/housing last.

More than any component, people reduce the life of their vehicles. Lol. It is true.

Don't over gear, and it will help you. The S/C will likely only ever be used on road, but I am sure that there are people who love to mash the skinny pedal off-road as well.

Rock crawling, I cannot see it happing to often that you would be going that fast to be in boost.

I'm thinking about a truck with front/rear bumpers, bed rack, RTT, fridge, supplies, gas, 32" or 33" shoes, sliders, etc... expedition type truck as far as a bunch of weight goes. But one that can take a long hike on the freeway to get to the trail.

And damn skippy on people reducing the life of their vehicles!:amen:

2x. I would also install the external tranny oil cooler and a trans temp gauge to monitor if an automatic.

I've been looking hard at the S/C, just not in the budget right now.

Shouldn't because it improves the system, but it's always a fight with Toyota. In the case the truck is under warranty then go right a head and wreck the trans, but if it isn't you need to do all you can to protect it. An inline filter would be a good idea as well.

S/C is awesome. Got mine installed when I bought the truck. Its a new 2013 TRD OF Access cab. As for longevity my past experience with S/C, as long as you do not abuse the truck it should last you the life of a naturally aspirated. MPG, so far Scangauge is showing 23 avg in town. That is me with my very light foot pissing people off. I also have a 1995 Honda Civic I hypermilage, I have learned how to increase MPGs.

I have mine with an AFE Stage 2 sealed intake and there is absolutely no noise or drone from the intake in the cabin. With just the supercharger and the intake, the truck ran a 14.3 last fall. My lifetime average for the vehicle is 20.1 MPG. If you can do it, I recommend supercharging it. Skip to 2:20 to see the truck run.
