    Hey Gang..

I don't own a Tacoma yet.. I am no stranger to car forums and know the value members input can have in searching for a new vehicle.

Leaving my Ls1 Camaro world behind, to get into a vehicle more suited to get my Kayaks into those hard to reach places...

Have a look at my old ride. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/3860392960.html

It's up for trade for a Tacoma if there are any interests. :p

Wanted to say hello before I dug into the search bar ! I am here looking for more info on 2000-2013 models.

Happy trails guys, glad to be here.

I don't need, but would like to have.

Living in Houston Tx, there are limited needs for 4wd. The only one off the top of my head I can think of is beach camping.

My budget is the controlling factor. Looking to spend no more than $15,000.. Coming out of a military Salary to full time college budget sucks.. Still a blessing to be in college and a year out from starting grad school.

Youll be hard pressed to find a 2nd gen with under 150,000 that is 4x4. If i were you id look into buying a bare minimum.

The mileage doesn't bother me so much, but what you say is true. So I should stick with looking for a 2nd gen?

The truck I posted above has around 150k miles and is 13k

If milage isnt an issue and you dont have a certain model in mind then i would keep a better eye out pertaining to what year i like the most. 06-07 was the best for me because it wasnt the guinea pig but it also didnt have all the crap the newer models have these days. I knew for a fact i wanted a TRD sport. Had to be a double cab and had to be 4x4. The rest didnt matter much. Just ended up finding the perfect fit with a couple added extra bonuses :D

Its the main reason i LOVE the tacoma. I can either go fast, Go slow and everywhere i can go low i can go big... I can have a limo or i cant have a practically new school el camino haha.

This is why Toyota gained so much pop and rep is because there is literally a truck for every class.
    Off road,
    Trailer Queen,
    Bro'ed,
    Dropped,
    Slammed,
    Quick and sleek,
    Sleepers...

You name it and i guarantee if you go through the right vendors you make the truck EXACTLY what you want it to be. Your move Ridgeline ;)
