Hey guys I'm building out a platform bed in my Tacoma and am trying to figure out a good way to add hinges and lock the hinges top panels down.
I've done a bunch of research but haven't really found to many photos of this aspect of the camp setup (at least no up close shots)

If you've got any, photos/suggestions post em here

My hinged doors will be opened through my side windoors.
Considering something like this for locking both at once but not sure if that will be secure enough

    And for hinges

I might have to add a skinny strip off wood and put it on the top.
However I would rather not have to have this on the sleeping surface..
And I don't really want to put the hing at a 90 (attached to the side of the box) as I plan to have an optional board that fits inbetween my two beds.

I'm getting ready to built a storage platform myself. I came to the same questions you had a few years ago. I don't want drawers. I want a hinged locking solid box. What did you end up doing hinge and lock wise? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.
