    So...

I finally got around to changing my spark plugs today at 30910 miles. Really wasn't a hard job thanks to the write up by chris4x4. Took about an hour tops. Below is a picture of the plugs that I pulled out. The Denso's are on the passenger side of the engine and were all gapped to .043 and the NGK's on the drivers side were all gapped to .047

It's pretty obvious that the Denso's seem to be a better plug than the NGK and that is what went back into the engine. We'll see at 60K ;)

It may be in my mind but the engine seems to run "smoother" with the spark plug change but... like I said.... probably just in my mind.

If I'm honest, I was actually surprised at the amount of carbon build up on them. They don't look that bad in person but still was a little surprised.

I was more surprised at the difference between the NGK and Denso's though.

One cool thing about it was, my wife helped me and I explained everything about the engine and how all the internals work and what each piece of the engine does. She seemed interested. At least she handed me the right tools when I asked for them lol.
