HIDS installed and they are making my radio stacky

I had my HIDS installed and I just noticed my radio is all staticky when I have them on, does anyone know how to fix this or what is the problem is .

Its the transformer going from 12v dc up to around 15,000 to 25,000 volts. You could get some shielding for the wires going from ballast to bulb... Confirm your grounds are GOOD.. i had cheap xentec before i switched over to led but mine never did that..

 

Can any damage occur from it? To my truck? And what should I say to the guy that installed them

 

Tell him to install better components.

Then again, if these were just drop in kits, quality is not the biggest concern it appears.

Should I be concerned about anything happening?

 

No. The boxes are just putting out some RF and your radio is picking it up.

 

I have a brother in-law that has an Audi A4 with 55w HID kit and it makes his electronics have problems also. He was told to cover the ballasts with some sort of foil because they put out a field of current. Don't know if its even true but you could try that lol. And if anyone knows the truth behind that please let me know haha
