On the 2011 Tacoma In Guyana we are noticing looseness and wear on the Composite bed. Even though the bolts are tight, the bed seems to wear out and drop down on the sleeve. We are in the process of trying to figure out a fix. This seems a very poor design for a bed mount. Has anyone seen this before?

I've never saw it or heard anything about it that I recall. How much weight has been kept in the bed and for how long? Constantly?

Could you maybe put a block or spacer or something around the sleeve to push the bed back up to where it should be and also give it a little reinforcement around the bolt to keep it from sagging down again? Underneath the hole but bigger so it can't slide down again.

Somehow the wear of the lower mount has to be stopped..the composite bed rests directly on the metal bed mount. The sleeve is the exact height of the composite material that goes to the frame. The constant flexing causes it to wear out..with water it's like grinding paste so it wears and drops down getting worst with looseness. Bed starts to jump around...only on forward two mounts.

They used to put plastic Fuel cans in front of the wheel well on both sides but had to stop as they were wearing into the composite bed...it got so thin a hole developed on one side.

Mine has one of those loose bolts like that on the plastic bed liner. Not as bad as that picture and not a real concern but will get around to fixing it some time in the future, too many other things to fix around the house right now. Not in my priority list. :p

The issue is that the bolt is tight on the sleeve but bed wears out and drops like in picture.
