Read this before buying hid headlights (Bad idea)

8000K SLIM XENON HID+01-04 TACOMA DRL LED HEADLIGHTS w/BUILT IN CORNER LIGHTS (Fits: 01-04 Tacoma).

i bought a pair of the above hid headlights from ebay and it works like shit!
give me all kind of troubles.
1. i have to cut off the end of my grill to fit in.
2. these lights can not be adjust to proper level, way to high.
3. these lights shoot out like lasers that really interfere with the
incoming traffics, can not be adjusted.
4. try to work with ebay and the seller but those suckers won't
respond to my email.
5. these lights are junks my stock headlights can see way better.
6. this pair of gabages cost me more than $200.
7. bottom line is do not buy, do more research before tossing your
hard earned $$$ away. don't make the same mistake like i did .

you should retrofit them then they will work great

 

use the retro fit source projectors and they are bomb they fit in the stock housing and you will not be disappointed

i love mine and have put them in my dads truck and my other trucks. they are bad ass

 

i've try with paper clips, hair clips and double side tape, nothing works.
buying these lights was the biggest mistake of all.

 

no he means take your stock lights and install these or install them in the lights you bought.

yea i did. i did a ton of research and i bought the kit that everyone on TW suggested which was the kit from the link i posted ^^

 

can you explain in more details of how to retrofit, i'm so uneducated, thanks.

X2 i have used HID in halogen housings and they have worked very good... but most of the time on headlights they show a uneven pattern and look like crap

1. it stated cutting needed in ad..
2,3,4, pretty sure there are two adjustment screws for each headlamp...you can file a claim....at least you have your old ones to reuse...bummer on the grill cutting...
5. reuse old ones....
6. file a claim with ebay/paypal, I always use a CC to pay, that way you are covered if seller is being a biatch....
7. you answered your own question, search button here FIRST would have saved yer bacon....

overall, a bummer, and $200 is worth going after, so what are you waiting for?

file claim, do projectors...new grills are available on Ebay, and not all that expensive....

You bought $150 HIDs in a cheap reflector housing?

You got what you paid for.

If you want HID, do as suggested above, get either a housing retrofitted with proper projectors or one designed for projectors. It's going to cost a bit more that you spent initially. The HID kit alone will probably run $150 (mine did, retrofit source). Then add the projectors, possible housings, etc...
