Has anyone else done this on their 4 cyl?

After doing some reading I did this yesterday on my 2.7

It was a royal PIA. Removing the clips holding in the fender liner was difficult and it was held in with 2 -10mm bolts then I had to jack up the front to allow enough space to wrestle it out. It seems to allow more instant throttle response and it changes the intake tone at high rpm's to a very low deep tone.

It's still going to the fenderwell and sealed off from the engine bay heat. It eliminates the sharp 90 degree bend and extra length and smaller diameter tubing. Opening the hood there is no change from stock.
I had previously added an AFE dry filter and removed the secondary charcoal air filter.
