Did this tow connection mod because I bent it while off roading. sooner or later it will snap off. So i moved by license plate.

    1. Disconnect main switch under bumper.
    2. old screw hold slides off (had to hit with hammer a few times)
    3. Used a grinder to make connector flush
Make sure to use small grinder. I used big because that's all I had.
    4. Messed up a little. just put electric tape around to secure.
    5. Cut hole. Not the best job because used big grinder. I suggest small.
    6. Slid in tow connector.
    7. Attached main switch again.
    8. Just put a hose clamp behind and zip tied wire.
    very solid. Does not move.
(between steps 5-6 you can use a clear coat of spray paint to stop it from rusting.)

    Damn, should've used a hole saw :D
Quite a few guys relocated to that same spot. Toyota put those things in a horrible place. Good job on the relocate tho. Luckily you didn't damage it too badly while it was in the stock location :)

    It does :)
I wanted to put mine is the same spot, but I am getting plate bumpers soon and didn't want to drill a newish stock bumper since I plan on selling it. Plus I will probably never use it anyway.
So mine looks like this :D

Here's what i did for my trailer connection. Just drilled two holes in the bottom of the hitch crossmember and tapped them to fit the factory bolts. Tucked up nice and out of the way :D
