    I just got back from a trip of 2953.4 miles in my 2013 TRD off road V-6 Standard transmission and I averaged 22.14 MPG. in which 10 hours of that over three days was off-road in the Rockies and 3 hours was serious off road running in low, low.
    My worst mpg was 20.29 and best was 24.06. I used both regular and premium and got the best mpg on premium.

    I'm still under a thousand miles on my truck, but I drove a full tank of gas last Friday on my way to Maine and tracked 18.3 mpg. Actually sounds great to me, not far away from what my 4 cyl did and it will only get better. I remember my motorcycle, an 06 Yamaha Fz1 getting horrible mileage for a long time. 7 or 8k miles if I remember correctly.

    20.2 mpg average with 0.2 standard deviation since my lift was installed last winter. :eek:
    Mixed city/hwy. Yes, I have an Excel sheet that tracks every tank of gas since I got the truck new in 2005. Also logs maintenance, mods, etc.

    Long road trips usually around 23 mpg.

    ~125,800 miles on truck.
    2005 Access Cab, V6, PreRunner, OME lift (~3 inch), 265/70-17 tires.

    '09 Regular Cab, 2.7 with 5 Speed and 235/75/15's I average a bit under 27mpg. I go easy, but Kansas is easy to get High mileage in, the A/C cuts it down 1 mpg

    I'm basing mine on my fuely records. I don't drive over 55 mph on my way to and from work. I'm guessing the fact that I am hardly ever over 2000 RPMs = my high MPG. I'm sure if I was running 80 mph all the time, it would be a lot worse.

    here are some additional numbers from my Excel sheet to show how modifications and driving conditions affect MPG. I've moved a few times since owning the truck so this data is grouped to compare only values where my typical routes and driving conditions were similar. Each of those MPG numbers is an average of at least 10 tanks.

    ====
    Group1 (50/50 city/hwy)
    Stock: 19.8
    Add Exhaust: 20.0
    (Flowmaster 50 series, muffler only, kept stock pipes)
    ===
    ===
    Group2 (70/30 city/hwy)
    Same setup as group1: 18.2
    Add TRD CAI: 19.9
    Add Bigger Tires: 17.7
    (from stock 265/65-17 Dueler HT to 265/70-17 TerraGrapplers)
    ===
    ===
    Group3 (20/80 city/hwy)
    Same setup as group2: 21.3 (still has Flowmaster, CAI, 265/70 tires)
    Add Suspension Lift: 20.3 (OME/Dakar springs and shocks all around)
    ===

    So, you can see that TRD CAI gave me the best increase (+1.7 mpg) and just a small increase in tire size gave the biggest loss (-2.2 mpg).

    Also, changing routes from stop & go city to more open roads made a big difference.

    Feels like I need a nerd smiley icon for this post...
