    3 inch toytec lift
So I installed the 3 inch toytec lift with spacers in the back (planning on upgrading the entire leaf pack down the line). When I go over speedbumps at speed it makes a banging sound from the front end. Any ideas what might be causing this? Is it something to be worried about?

New UCAs or old? Could be contacting the bucket or spring

It's probably your sway bar hitting the springs. Order a sway bar relocate kit. It's cheap and easy to install.

I ran the same lift years ago and mine did that becuase when we put the front coilover back together we didnt torque the top plate down enough. There was a 1/4" ways of thread left and every time the shock would travel down it would make a death clunk. Try to locate which side it's coming from and snap a pic of your coil bucket I will imediatly be able to tell. Your sway bar shouldnt be hitting your springs with stock coils because the coils arent wide enough to make contact. Maybe your UCAs are hitting your coils but Ive never heard of that with a spacer lift and stock coils.

OME claims you don't need a sway bar relocate kit but after doing a lot of reading before installing mine, I came across a lot of people reporting almost the exact same issue and it was their sway bar hitting the coils. Not saying it definitely is the problem but it is possible. With the OME kits it's hit or miss whether your sway bar will hit.

Ive had the same problem recently.

It is always after a bump where the front suspension has to quickly lengthen (like a speedbump, or down a curb).

I will check to make sure my tophats are tight. I never considered the coil could hit the UCA.

I do not have a sway bar.

It sounds like its from both sides. I think "clunk" is a better term for the sound coming from the front end. It's not metallic sounding or anything. Tbh I'm hoping it's just the sound of the new shocks working.

Is that the 3" Toytec front spacer lift?

This ever get answered. I'm having simular issues. Sounds a little metallic though. I've spent hours under the truck inspecting and can't see anything. My only guess is my coils look a bit wonky due to pre load.
