First of all let me say... it is WAYYY too much work to find out how to post to the forum!!

OK that out the way... has anyone tried or successfully cut their existing airbag "assembly" to install OEM steering wheel controls?

Bro, I've also thought of doing the same thing. I got an 08 and I'm pretty sure the wiring is already there. All I pretty much need is the control.

I've read about it and it is possible, but thinkering around the airbag is what scares me in doing this mod.

    Here's the controls. eBay.

If you do this, please post a write-up after. I've been wondering how easy/hard this would be to do.
