    Dealer offered 26900 for 4 cylinder/access-cab/4wd/auto/white/2014

Its got the convenience package/running boards/"lusterizing sealant"

My main issue is that I don't know if I should wait for the 2014 or redesign. From what rumors I have heard, its coming within the next 2 years. This is the exact truck I want and I haven't been able to find another similar truck anywhere within 500 miles, I don't even know where they are getting this one.

Basically, I want to know if yall think this is a good deal, I want to join the TW family and I don't know If I should wait or not.

    Thanks

27k for a 4 banger? For nearly the same price you can get a v6. Without much hit on the mpg. Alot of people regret getting the 4cyl.

yeah, I did not need the con package or running boards but its not much more money.

The main problem is there aren't and 4wd access cab 4wds in the area so I dont have a choice

It's 4wd, I assume that makes the difference?

Get it in V6 for about the same price. A complete redesign is not in the near future either. However, they may put in a new engine within the next couple of years.

Its pretty much impossible to find access cab v6 here in the gulf states, its all double cabs.

You're pretty much ordering your truck. Order what you want. If they won't do it go to another dealership. They build the damn things there is texas.

what is funny is these trucks are made in your state but yet you cant find them? get the v6 or you will be posting on here saying you wish you had more power and paying a v6 price and getting a 2.7 is kinda crazy

Is using the KBB or similar sites price a good starting point when ordering? Why do the dealers seem so reluctant to order? This is my second vehicle, and first time buying myself so I have not gone through the ordering process before.

go to another dealer if the one dealer wont order it for you. dealerships dont make as much money on a "custom ordered" truck. they want to sell you what is on the lot or what they can get there hands on quick

Use the KBB to request a qoute. best way to get the dealerships to compete for your business and will get you the lowest price through their internet department.

How can you not find a V6 if your buying brand new... The reason there are so many 4 bangers is because every one sells them for a v6 :D

If you are asking us to CONVINCE you, then you should not purchase this truck.

"If there is any doubt, there is no doubt" :D

I would test drive something with a V6 right after the 4cyl. Doesn't matter what body type, you will certainly notice the difference.

Best of luck OP, and if is not too cliche... Stick to your guns. :p

From what I can tell, the gulf states packages that come from toyota are centered around double cabs, If you don't believe me check out dallas/mckinney/tyler dealer websites. I do not want or need a double cab and I used the trucar.com "truprice" and it could not find what I wanted within 500 miles, none of the dealers have em. If any of you guys were from Texas you would know what I'm talking about. Here a truck is pretty much a status symbol so the bigger the better.
