Walmart sells OBDII scanners starting at $58 and going up to $189. I'm interested in the Equus 3030 for $58 and the Equus 3100 for $98.

Most of the reviews are 5-star for both items. I have a 1998 TRD Limited. What are the advantages of the 3100 over the 3030 and would it be worth it to buy the more expensive one?

just buy a ELM unit for $15 and get the free Torque app from google... If no smart phone, there are usb versions too that connects to the computer.

Or $60 for an Ultragauge. Reads codes, but also displays general info that your dash doesn't display while you're on the road...

+1 on the Torque app... it reads everything the other options read plus you have the bonus of being able to tap into accelerometers and GPS in the phone to get data like G-force and elevation and location

Any recommendations for iPhone apps for the OBDII Bluetooth Scanners?
