Hi. Im new to the Tacoma and the forum. My question is on the strength of the Better Built mounting kit for the tool boxes. I am doing something different and plan to use either 2 or 3 of these kits if they will hold. Will be set at front, possibly middle, and set at the rear. Included a photo of what the dog box will be like that they will be holding on. Plan is to weld tabs to the tubing on the inside and bolt down through the tab into the mount. Any advice or other ideas on mounting suggestions. Thanks for your time.

    Thanks
    Matt

I havn't seen anyone do this yet. I know there are slots in the rails to run "J" hooks every so often which is what I did for my box and is very cheap. I don't know if there are enough slots for your application though
