I'm in a dilemma of sorts. I just purchased 4 new Nitto 17" cross tek tires a short time ago for my 06. I just bought a 2010 CC with much better looking rims, but they are 16".

I'm debating swapping the rims and finding a tire I like as well as the cross teks (they are not made in 16" size) or finding similar rims in 17" size and use the Nittos.

I don't do a bunch of off roading and I'm looking for something that is quiet on the hwy, good fuel economy and lasts for 40-50,000 miles. Ideas?

I put a pair dueler A/T's on my taco last fall when a peice of metal roofing fell off a truck in front of me on the highway and shredded a tire. Awesome tires, do great in the snow (for an m+s tire), nice and quiet on the road, and also one of the more affordable options.

BFG T/A KOs will meet your requirements, and offer excellent off-road/all weather traction. You can easily get 60K out of 'em if you keep them inflated, rotated, and balanced properly.

I have been using duelers for many, many years. Great tire on and off road.
I think Costco sells them for $160 a piece.:)

What about Firestone A/T? They are rated really good on tirerack.com and seem to have pretty good ratings for in the snow.

I just went through a set of Dueler's great tire while they lasted. Only got 31K out of them. They've really dropped the price on them....hmmm

I just got a set of Hancook DynaPros from Discount/Americas Tire and I love them, super quiet and still decently aggressive. Best part is they are only $128/piece. I would definitely recommend them.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I've had the duelers in a full size chevy and although a decent tire, they were all done by 30,000 as well as I found them lacking in the rough stuff compared to these Nitto crossteks. Thanks!
