Hey all, i'm looking to buy a new radio if you couldn't tell from my BST thread.

I'm just wondering what some of your guys have and the pros and cons of them.

I have roughly $100 to spend, give or take a little bit more.

Let me know what you recommend!

    Thanks TW!

    Search is over; Winner!

I dont think you will find a double din for $100. Might be able to find a nice single din for that tho.

Well I have a bit more, just looking to spend around that. There's a few on ebay for $130<
Never bought a new radio, so def. don't know what to look for.

I really want the USB and AUX port for ipod/charging phones, etc.

I dont know what you are looking at on ebay. But Personally I would stick with a well known name brand. Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony etc. Checkout sonicelectronix.com they have really good prices and you can see whats available and gt the proper wiring harness.

This is my personal experience, if you have a smart phone and use pandora or any other music app make sure its compatible, i made sure my Kenwood had aux input as well as USB port. USB comes in handy to charge phone and not take up a 12volt port. One thing i wish i had not skimped on is bluetooth. Few more dollars and i passed and now i kick myself in the ass. Probaly fixen to upgrade again soon and get it. Thats a nice looking double din by the way. It has all you need id go for it.

How do you like this one? I like the look of it. Price isn't too shabby either

Edit: Looked at the wrong link, don't really have $150 to drop on one right now. Looking towards this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...[query_id]=22249832&SearchClickout[Ignore]=1|

I like the stereo a lot. I love the look of the stereo, much more than the Kenwood you posted. The JVC is nice though. If you look at Crutchfield's site, the compare all the Double DIN Radio's in the $100-$199 category and give you the pros and cons of each. With your JVC I beleive the main gripe was lack of customization.

Great for streaming music or phone calls wirelessly from your phone over your radio. I can make calls and play music without having to plug in a device now...I love it.

Oh and another thing, I would recommend staying away from the Scosche mounting kit, go with the Metra. The rason is, with the Scosche kit, the faceplate supports the weight of the stereo, over time, it will squeak and rattle. With the Metra, the faceplate is an independent piece. The weight is supported by the bracket. Just my 2 cents.

Because it sucks having a cord attached to your phone all the time to stream music.
