I am not sure if this is the right area for this post. It is the closest I found.

    Now my question.

When I change out my radio I am considering sanding smooth and painting the center panels (Radio suround, around ac controls, and the panel around shifter) to match the body color of my truck. Does anyone know or have suggestion on the paint process or Paints to use on plastic dash panels?

I used SEM products to paint the silver parts of my dash to be black. I used SEM Sand Free and Satin Black. Home Depot, Lowes, etc. doesn't carry them. You'll have to get them from more of a specialty store. I found them at a place called Industrial Finishes. If you go this route and have questions about the painting process let me know.

I remember seeing a dash kit that was smooth and didn't have the little bumps that the stock stereo has. I'll see if I can find it for you and maybe save you from sanding.

EDIT: Well I found some at Sonic Electronix, but I don't know what year your truck is so I don't know which one to point you to. But if you go to their website you can find them. I'm sure Crutchfield has them too, I just didn't look at their website.
