I have a '09 BSP PreRunner Sport......It has the anthracite color "horizontal" piece in the front grill. Would painting it BSP last/ not chip or would it be best to purchase another model year BSP grill that comes all black?

    Thanks,
    D.

.....maybe the better question is: For the guys that have painted their front grill......How's it holding up...chips, peeling, doing fine or......crap, wish I had never painted it.

Yours might hold up a lot better than other people who live in other parts of the country. Since that you don't have to deal with snow, sand, salt, gravel. I personally think yours would do very well.

Thanks for all the info. I think Plasti-dip'n it is out. Really want it all BSP to match the color of the truck.

Not to hijack the thread, but if you dont plasti-dip the grill then what type of paint would you use? I dont know a lot about paint, except that Rustoleum bedliner is some amazing stuff haha

From what I've seen here. Members have used Dupli-Colour and matched their grill to the rest of the truck. Just get the paint code and match it to the can that you're going to buy and there you go, matched grill.

If your just wanting the center color matched then i would just paint it. It should hold up fine as long as it’s done correctly.

Does anyone know what model years the entire grill was BSP except for the emblem?....no anthracite colored horizontal piece.
