I hate J so much. not because it's hard, but because it's just so sketchy lol. I almost slid off the side of the mountain where that one creek crosses the trail, and doug almost flipped his rover making the left turn onto J2..........not to mention guys going the wrong way on it

 

It's labeled a green still but the top end is so washed out now I'd call the first 50 - 75 yards of it a blue.

I actually kicked on the rear locker climbing back up it.

We had a near-stock taco with us that was not going down it without damage.

Did Trail 23 backwards this last time... It's become one of my favorite blues...

 

yeah, they should really put an asterisk on the trail map by that one with a note. there are just too many subtle elements to that trail that make it potentially dangerous, that the average green runner won't notice.

 

J2 is actually a blue now they posted that in the office around last year

Ya know, I had a BHLM set on for a while. The cheap eBay kind...

IDK but with the whole truck being black it was leaning too much to the whole "murdered out" look.

I got a set of the sleeper and lower eyelids from Don (Toyota Guy) and they would not even be visible with a BHLM.

I'm on my 4th set of headlights now.

If I ever do them over again I'll go with a smoked set with some of those cool retrofit set ups.

I was up in the Pottstown area & had to jump off 422 to take a call. Took a quick detour into this area:

Uptravel could be improved by another 1 1/2" or so with a proper shock relo...



Regardless I'm very happy with the performance of my "budget" suspension.

 

Looks like a terribly fun detour. You should take more calls.

Double check the wiring on your truck. I hooked one of those up and the diagram in the box didn't match our tacos. Toyota has to be different in everything.

They make a 7pin to 4 pin adapter for trailers.

Also, instead of using sauter, use auto butt splices. Makes life easier. I suck at sautering as well. SecretSquirrel sauters everything for me.
