This is my first tonneau. It's a Tonnopro Tri-Fold from Amazon, one-day shipped for $280. It go great reviews, great fit and quality, just need to add another layer of weatherstripping by the cab. My question is...the front two clamps tend to angle towards the center of the bed the more I tighten, is this normal? I tried to keep them completely verticals but no way if I want a snug fit. Or do I have them over tightened? Either way guys looking for a cheap, great tonneau, this is it. $100 bucks cheaper than the Extang Trifecta.

I had one with clamps with that design only they sat horizontal. Same company. Thats completely normal.

Its aluminum, it bends when you put pressure on it. Don't worry about it as long as everything is waterproof.

Op, that is normal on this tonneau cover!

I bought mine 2 weeks ago and love it. Go to Home Depot and buy some Cold Stop weather stripping and you will seal up the gap.

    PS.
My boss has the Extang, and we couldn't spot a single difference.

^ Nice! I love it! I think for the price you can't beat it! Home Depot for weather stripping in a few hours...I tend to go there once a day as it is!

I have the same cover and am thrilled with it. Its been on about 10 months now and no problems so far. I do a lot of freeway driving and was worried about the clamps as well because mine do the same thing. But they have help up like a champ. Another benefit is that it keeps the bed fairly dry in the rain. Definitely recommended.

I picked up the exact same cover last week from autoanything. Got it on-sale for $235. Keep your eyes peeled on that site from time to time. Next up roof racks.

I have the same cover and have had it for over a year with no issues at all. It's a great product for the price, you can't go wrong with this one.

Have the same cover. I guess I'm lucky cause I haven't added any additional weather striping to mine and it stays dry. My clamps angle in just like yours. No problems. Took an 1,800 mile round-trip back in July mostly all highway going 70 -75 mph and she stayed snug for the whole trip. Good luck. Love the look of your bronze Level 8's on the red truck.

I was worried about the highway at first...I had loaded up the bed prior to moving halfway cross-country and hit the road and saw the material flapping in my rearview...made me a little nervous but it held up great and has ever since.

i have the same cover on my truck and i decided to get rid of the front two brackets and hooked the clamps to the bed rail system directly and it reduced the amount of bending towards the inside. i moved the two front brackets to the back to give it a larger surface to clamp onto

    Hello TacomaWorld,

This is my second post (after the introduction) so go easy. My 2013 Tacoma Sport did not come with a tonneau cover, so my first upgrade is a power pop-a-lock and trifecta tri-fold tonneau cover as I would like to secure items in the bed of truck. Had a trifecta on my F150 and it worked perfect. So my question is, did anyone have an issue with what looks like a height difference between the side of the bed and the tailgate? The tailgate looks lower and I would think leaves a gap with the tonneau cover on. Any solution for this?

    Thanks,
    Nathan

the tonneau cover in the OP's post does not have this issue. It has a bulb type seal on the end that is slightly larger than the sides allowing it to fill the gap. If there are any issues or you want piece of mind, add some extra weather stripping on the tailgate edge for this.
