I have been looking to get a Truxedo Lo Pro QT roll up for my 2011 Double Cab short bed. What do you think?

Are there better ones for about the same price ($499)?

I have one and I love it. $499?!?! Where'd you get that outrageous price?

I'll give him a call and see if he has a better price for the QT model. Mine is a 2011 and every place I checked on the internet was exactly the same. $499.

    Here is an example:

Yikes... Bed space in the short bed is precious enough.
I didn't go with a roll-up in my '03 Tundra because of the lost bed space between it and the cross-bed toolbox.

Standard bed without a toolbox, I'd think about it, but on the SB it's going to leave you with like a 3ft bed.

Edit: Nevermind. I thought you were referring to the ribbed steel/aluminum type that roll up like a garage door.

The low profile bed covers tend to interfere with the cargo track and anchors. Consider whether that is important to you before buying. I really liked Truxedo on my Tundra, but chose an Access cover for the Taco for that reason alone.

As has been mentioned, you can't beat the discount pricing from Truck Alterations. I think I saved nearly $100.

They claim that you will get better gas milage with a Tonneau Cover. Has anyone seen a difference?

Look at the Lund TriFold before you commit to this roll up job. I have one and LOVE it. Its easy to use the part of orthe whole bed and the cover is super light for ease of handling.

I have the Truxedo LoPro and I love it. So easy to use and since it doesn't go over the bed rails, I can install a Thule or Yakima rack over it and still roll it up. zy2eneby_8b451f890826e6538cbd6b84dd326f9a7f12370d.jpg

just bought mine from him great price. little problem with getting it, but they took care of the issue. price and quality worth the wait. the access limited would be just as good for about 20.00 more.

Yes, I was consistently getting 20 mpg before the cover and 21.5-22 with the cover. I bought an extang with the snaps on three sides. The side against the cab stays fixed (although I believe they now make the same cover with the front snappable as well). The cover rails clamp right into the rails for the sliding tie-downs, no drilling required. There are different height options for the ribs and the snaps on the rails can be flipped...this gives you multiple different stretch options for the cover. Keep it tighter in summer and looser in winter since it gets a little tough to put the cover on when its 20 degrees outside. Rolls up nice and clean against the cab when not needed. Goes on/off in less than 5 minutes (unless you are trying to put it on in the cold---only downside). Weather tight to keep valuables out of the rain/snow when transporting stuff. I love it. Had it on my '06 tacoma and took it off and put on my '09 tacoma. Still holding up great after five years and I think it cost around $250.

I have the Access TonnoSport, and I love it. Installation was a bit tricky because it bolts on between the ajustable bed mount rails and bed side, basicallty making the adjustable rails useless, but I never use them anyway.

I haven't seen any change in the MPGs with it, but I know MPGs are more affected by your right foot than any bed mods, and coming from a WRX my right foot is a little heavy anyway.

I picked up a second hand LoPro QT that was used about 6 months. It took about 15 minutes to install and I am really happy with it.
