I have 46k miles on my Tacoma and I haven't changed the oil on it yet. Had free oil changes from when I bought it last year.

    What weight (haven't looked)?

Think I should put synthetic in it?

Here's what I was told by the dealer.

    Must always use 5W30
After 24,000 km can use synthetic oil
    First oil change 4000 km
The oil changes are due every 6 months or 8000 km whatever comes first.

Bought this for my first oil change along with a Toyota Oil filter.

Yep...went back over your post OP and the operative phrase mentioned is "haven't looked". So, again, why don't you simply read your owners manual and/or do a search on TW. There are many, many discussions about oil use on here already.

You can use pretty much any 5W-30 oil you want, I would stick with the OEM filters though.

You seem bothered by this thread. You're probably just having a bad day. Don't worry you'll get through the day. At least I hope you're life gets better otherwise you have a shitty life.

Amsoil Super Synthetic gets my vote. I use a 15K drain interval with filter changes every 5K miles. Got it tested at 15K miles and it had a 1.8TBN, good overall analysis results.

Never had a problem with mobil 1 synthetic with mobil 1 filter. Every 5,000 miles or one year. All my motors are clean on the inside.

A little of this and a little of that.
Mobil 1 synthetic 5W-30 oil & OEM oil filters every 5,000 miles. It's a pretty easy oil & filter change to do yourself.

    Good luck.
