I've heard many things about these rear leaf springs sucking a big one, and mine are no exception. I assume the springs aren't supposed to sag like this. Anybody have a good fix other than helper springs and an OME suspension swap?

    I also have axle wrap:(:(

EDIT: anyone know how to rotate a picture -.-

    Turn your monitor 90*

My springs looked like that about 70,000 miles ago. Still riding on the same ones.

Turn your phone landscape (side ways) instead of portrait (upright)
That's what I do if i post a pic on TW. If not, it will turn out like yours.

Could I just clamp where the contact points with the helper springs are with just a clamp sort of deal and call it good?

Really check out the springs to make sure one is not broken somewhere. If they look good, then you could do an aal if you don't mind some lift.

I'm trying to keep the pre-runner sort of look with the front end a bit higher than the front. I have heard of people using springs from a 3/4-1 ton pickup. Would that work?

EDIT: Or desert-runner, or Baja truck or some other fancy jazz.. don't mind me I'm just slightly stupid

I dont think there in that bad a shape, mine are actually negative arched. I so want new ones. When i stop and go to back up my drive way i can actually feel the rear end try and rotate upward.

That is what I did. I bought just the clamp part at O'Reily's and put it on.

You can either add the leaf spring helpers or if you want to save some $$, go to o'reilly's auto parts (or your favorite parts store) and pick up a set of 2 1/2" square u-bolts and install them approx. 6" in front of the axle. They sell them in a kit and it took care of my axle wrap problem.

The Klunk maybe due to the slip yoke needing to be lubed or u-joints.

    Good luck.

Just get a grease gun, crawl under, wipe off the zerk fittings and pump some grease in them. Make sure you look inside each pivot point along the drive shaft and get all the zerks. The slip yoke at the back will take more than a u-joint if it is dry.
