This is my first Tacoma, third truck, first time wanting to lift or level. I have a '13 TRD off road double cab that currently have 265 70 16. I was looking at the toytec 2.5 inch front spacer with AAL on back. Would the 1.5" back level out the truck? And how would they look with stock tires for now?
I read the suspension sticky thread but a lot of people like 3" lifts.
What would be the best route to just level the truck, beef up the rear because it squats with like 200lb back there ( I sat on the tail gate and it sags)
All your guys and gals help so far have been spot on. Thank you in advance.

    So....
1: 2.5" spacer up front and 1.5" AAL IN BACK?
2: just a coil in front to level out?

I know billy 5100's the way to go but budget is $300 because I want a topper too!

It's a brand new truck, I'd do the suspension once and do it right rather than go with spacers just because they're cheap. Just my opinion though...

For the rear, I like the 3-leaf progressive AAL's sold by either Wheelers or Icon. Wheeler's makes a heavy duty version also. They are 1.5" AAL's but you can leave the overload leaf in place to gain 2" of lift. That, with the weight of your shell, should level you out nicely. I have the Icon 3-leaf AAL with the overload still in place and a shell and it rides great!

True. I want to do it right but I also want to do it now! Lol. So adding the 1 leaf probably won't fix the sag from my fat butt sitting on the tail gate? I saw a Tacoma on the road going the opposite direction briefly and it looked like stock tires but the front was lifted just slightly. Do you think a longer coil did that?

I did ToyTec Ultimate kit with 5100s 2.5 front and 2 rear.

I still have stock tires right now until I bite the bullet on some new ones.

It doesn't look all that bad, if you hit the right angle they look small, because they are. But its definitely live-able.

I attached a photo from the side. The Jeep has 265s and the truck has 245s (stock)

There are single leaf AAL's and 3-leaf AAL's, both can provide the same amount of lift but I think the multi-leaf progressive AAL's ride better once installed. The single AAL's will give you the lift you're looking for and support the weight but I think they ride stiffer.

As far as the Tacoma you saw, there's no way to know how it was lifted without pictures of the suspension. It could have been a longer coil, top plate spacers, coil spacers, no way to tell. Personally, I went with Eibach coils and 5100's. For the lift you're looking for, I'd suggest Old Man Emu coils.

Thanks for everyone's ideas and showing me your projects. I think I am going to do the 2.5" spacer up front and 1.5" AAL. Maybe 2". Ill be adding a topper so that might squat it that other .5"

The more I think about it, that does sound like the most logical choice. I can also sell the TRD off road shocks too maybe? I only have 1600 miles on the truck.

What would be the good/budgeted way to get a better absorption on rear leafs. They squat bad with just me on the tail gate. 200lbs
