How do you like those Halo Lights in the front? Those are the ones I've been looking at. . .

 

I just ordered these off Ebay for $106. Plug and play install. Didn't see this thread before I ordered. I probably would have tried the rustoleum finish had I seen this first. Can't beat $12, stock parts and a little creative work. I'll update this post with installed lights.

 

Not a super dark tint.
It was done by a local tint shop with adhesive tint.
Gaurenteed as long as I own it.

They are still red so I don’t get hassled about them and I run leds so the lights when on are as bright as others.

Did you find the LED hook ups janky? Some of the reviews on the full LED installs on youtube for Ebay purchased lights were a nightmare. Wasn't sure if it was just dummies or what. I stuck with the OEM package but smoked lens. So I only have to switch out two old bulbs to new housing. I don't mind the look of the OEM tail lights but I do really like the ones you got.

Quality was up to par with oem. Plugs were nice and snug. Wiring was all heat shrunk and tied up nicely.

Have the same ones. 2 years, and they are still going with no issues so far. There are a few guys that have had issues with these in the past, but so far so good for me. I love them. Gave the truck an updated look (my '05 had the non-LED tails), they are dark colored, without affecting light output. In fact these look brighter than my stock's were.

 

No issues with mine either.

Really the only good picture I have of them. They are wrapped in tint. Fully transparent paired with led brake, turn signal and reverse lights. Still brighter than stock.

 

Just ordered one...thanks again for the link. Did you simply use the included gasket for weatherproofing?

 

Yeah, the gasket and the screws that look like wood screws. Remove the old, clean off the left over gasket. Use some rubbing alcohol to clean the area, attach the gasket to the new light and put on the truck. Push it down as much as you can and then screw it snug.

 

Slightly tinted and no issues, I might go a little darker.
