Which tire? Nitto or Pro Comp

Hey guys,

I am debating between the two tires for my truck. The two choices are below..

Nitto Terra Grapplers


Pro Comp Xtreme All Terrain


Those pro comp tires have the rims that I am going to get as well.

 

The Nitto looks like it has more siping, but I can't stand those gayass lightning bolts.

those nittos look more like a street tire, nothing more than the lously dunflops lol

 

If you can wait a few months i say get the new Nitto Trail Grappler M/T. Release is suppose to be Sept. Hows the new truck by the way?

Go with the procomps.

 

Terra Crapplers tread life sucks...Other than that, its a good tire lol

 

Yea I saw those... they look sick! I really need a more all terrain tire for all the driving I do for work.

The truck is awesome. I am 110% satisfied.

 

So it appears that Pro Comp is lookin more and more the choice to be..

I have heard bad things tho like the tread falling apart. Is this something that has been fixed? Or just a fluke with some people?

 

Yea I hear ya. I drive a lot too, 100+/- miles a day round trip 5x a week. BFG's have done me good. My last set before my lift and new wheels lasted me almost 3 years. Kept up with the rotating so they lasted!

Nice hopefully these pro comps last. They have a 40k guarantee so thats cool at least.

Does anybody know what are the sizes they come in? I have heard of sizes that aren't even listed on their website. Seems like they need to update it lol.

 

Go to www.4wheelparts.com They will have what you are looking for. Your wheels and tires. They are owned by ProComp. You should also be able to get a deal if you call them. I've gotten almost all my truck Shit from them. They have been great to me. I say go with the Xtreme A/Ts. Good luck

 

go for the nitto... pro comps suck, ive had them in the past and were horrible... i got toyo a/t right now which pretty much is the same tread design as nitto... ive got over 15k on them and have plenty of tread left

 

Between those 2, I'd go with the Pro Comp.

Nitto TG tire wear isn't the best, and since PC has the wheels you're looking for, double whammy.

Tacoskim: Man, my cousin's Nitto TG's wore QUICK. He replaced them with BFG's and they are so far the longest lasting tire he has had.

 

I was thinking about getting these, don't do much mudding though, mostly dirt and rocks, with plenty of road. Will that be a problem with tread?

 

Look at the dessert terrain nittos... those are the ones i got and they look mean....

 

I've heard good things about both... the Nitto's get more props around here though.... I still like the BFG AT's

 

the bfg are tight too....

 

Procomps look sharp!

 

I would go with the Procomps for the sidewall tread, but you really ain't gonna go wrong with either.
