Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
That depends - what were you doing with the truck when it showed that temperature? If you were idling on a cool day, that's not good.

My 2002 and 2004 AC 4x4 V6's would show anywhere from 191F (cruising on the highway in moderate (85F) temperatures, to 197-198F heading up a long grade at highway speeds, or slower, on a hot day.

This was with 32's (235/85/16), an ARB+M8000 winch, a HiLift in the back and an ARE shell on top. Oh, and with a FROR rear bumper, plus assorted camping/hunting/fishing gear. I think once, heading from Reno up to Donner Summit in 95 degree weather, and towing an 800lb trailer in addition to the rest of the stuff mentioned above, I hit 202F.

Unless you had a good load in the truck on a hot day, heading uphill, I think 208 is a little warm. It's not going to hurt anything, since I think Toyota is OK with temps up to 220F or 230F, but I like to have as much room to deal with extra engine heat as possible.

Seems that after adding my tranny cooler it has gone up a few degrees.I guess the extra radiator blockage may have caused this.

I just have the temp needle.
I just bought it used and it runs a tad over half way to hot. That doesn't "feel" right so I had the radiator flushed and I am going to replace the thermostat and cap. They are cheap.

My engine temps from my UG range from 190 to 196 for the most part no matter where or when I drive.

My gauge on my 04 Prerunner V6 runs a tad over halfway and has been that way since it was new. I will post a picture when I drive it tomorrow.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
I know this is a thread revival but 208 was my temp before I did the jiggle valve mod. On my UG I was running between 204-210 after reaching full operating temp. I had the thermostat replaced when I had the Timing belt done. I found out they put the thermostat in with the jiggle valve in the upward 12:00 position. After I rotated it to be in the 6:00 position my temps went down to 188-192 with it mainly stable at 190. It may fluctuate 2 degrees up or down but its way better than before. The FSM states that for the 3.4L the jiggle valve should be in the 6:00 position. I didn't think this would make any difference but it did, big time.

Thinking about putting a tranny gcooler
I know why it's running at 160 because the last owner must have put a 160 degree
thermostat in. I am going to change it to 180 because today I called that dealer and they checked the vin and it says 180.

But I kinda knew that already, I guess the question I was leading to, but must have been confusing , is will running at 160 affect the burnoff in the converter.
I can only assume that other things are affected by the lower temp but will they effect the converter, and bring about this catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 420 error thing?

This is all brought on by a 420 code, which states that there is a converter problem.
My front oxygen sensor goes between .16 to .77
The back is .06 to 2.3 running at 60 mph

not sure what their suppose to be.
    anyone know?
