So I just got my new moto metal 951s which I'm extremely happy with! Now I've got a month or so to decide what to do next... I went with the 16x8 and I am now looking at duratrac wrangler tires. I am also looking at the 3" ome lift.

Now I need your guys opinions, not crazy about trimming but if its really worth it i would. What should I do first?

Go with 265/75 and then lift later on or
Go with lift first and 285s later on

IMO I would go with the lift then go for the 285's later on!

Wait, save , and do both at once. Lift with smaller tires is odd looking and larger tires will require a lift. Why buy the tires twice ? Do both and get the alignment done once.

No trimming with my setup: 275/65/18, 2.5" toytec coilovers. You may have to do some minor trimming of the plastic just by going by our tire size comparison values.
    Mines roughly 32.07" x 10.8" x 18, Yours 32.8" x 11.2", pretty minor difference.

You probably have a more desired lower wheel backspacing(4.5"? vs. my 5.5")

    What he said! LOL

I bought aftermarket wheels and more aggressive tires (265/70/16s) first because I didn't have the money for a lift. Put them on and liked the look. Then I got the money for a lift, put it on and couldn't justify getting bigger tires because I had just paid for the 265s. Now I have a 3" left and look at the truck EVERY day wanting bigger tires as it just looks odd. I'd wait till you can do it all at once.
