What are some things that everyone should keep in their truck?

I always keep about 600 pounds of material and tools in my truck for work. And since I already live exactly where I want to be to survive...

...all I carry in the cab is toilet paper and candy.

does anybody carry maps?? I dont think I have seen one list with one.

 

there's map storage next to the engine crank behind the rumble seat.

I usually have
jumper cables
flashlight
multi tool
tow straps & bungees
tire repair kit
some cash & coins
pen/pad/napkins & some eating utensils in the glove box.

I have a couple in my GHB; I carry a GPS too, but it's always good to have a backup that doesn't require batteries to work. I've got state maps for ME, NH, VT, & MA; as well as smaller area detail maps for most of ME and NH.

 

That all depends on where you are... In rural unincorporated LA county there are no street lights, no sidewalks, no municipal sewers, propane is delivered by truck, there's only two stop lights, and the neighbors ride their horses down our road.
