Here starts a thread to show members tacos with aftermarket bucket-seats . Mainly looking for 2nd gens but we'll allow 1st gens in if you're worthy. This should be a pic heavy thread.

    -What make and model
    -mounting hardware/adapters
-size (mostly width but height too) if known
    -harness or stock seatbelt

Answer the above information and how hard the install was.

This is popular talk with us who have bench seats. I think they're fine stock but they're not sporty nor do they hold you in place. Plus it is a relitively inexpensive mod and hopefully the install will go with ease.

These are the ones I've been eye-ballin' but I'm going to need to call the company to see if the mounting adapters are available for my truck - that would make things so much easier for the swap.

So now, choose using the poll. The product name is below it's respective seat.
    Xtreme: http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_Xtreme.asp [IMG]~$250 each

    Rave: http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_Rave.asp [IMG]~$330 each

    Drifter: http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_Drifter.asp[IMG]~$230 each

    Pro Sport: http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_ProSports.asp [IMG]~$130 each!

And I know it may make it slightly for difficult to get in but I'm not worried about that.

    Thanks TW!

Edit: I like simplicity, so adjusters aren't something important

    ^ thats awesome

unfortunately the center console thing makes it hard for the 2nd gen guys. really it just adds a ton of cost if you have one made to look factory.

I was just going to leave that center space empty and use it for storage while traveling or something.

I just emailed Scat Seats about adapters for 2nd gens with a bench seat.

Very nice. Did they just bolt right in? Or did you need to modify something to mount them.

edit: plus you had bucket seats to begin with right?

They did not bolt right in..
I had to nicely cut the feet off of the Tacoma seat tracks (rendering the seats absolutely useless) and then nicely cut the mounting feet off of the Scion seats while making sure the tracks are still in good shape.
After that I bolted the feet into the truck, set the seats on top of them and then welded the rails to the feet.

And yes, I had buckets to begin with. Made that a bit easier.

The smittybilt security center consoles would be a decent solution to the open space you'd have after a bench to bucket swap.

Corbeau seat rails. Part # E2102T and E2103T. $105 each. Then choose the seats to your liking. I would verify compatibility between the rails and different brand seats if you don't want corbeau.

Corbeau LG1 buckets front and rear, Corbeau brackets for front and rear but I had to completely customize the rear brackets IE: chop, cut, weld and paint etc.... Need to redo my stereo and build a rear center console now...

    Is my first gen worthy??

    Corbeau seats and brackets
Straight bolt in because I had the brackets. They adjust Forward and back and up and down. So comforming to your body, I love it! Im using stock seat belt but the seats hold you in so well you don't even need those haha.

Oh and I got use to the "harder get in" very fast (mainly because my side pad is wore down. But another problem is the seat sits lower so the seat belt is high across. I have the belt part on the lowest setting and its still close to my neck. And im 5' 8". Not a big problem though. just a heads up.

Im digging the elite lumbar they have. The seat bottom looks a lot like factory tacoma seats.
