True, but Load range and MPG unless it is a strictly farm or offroad truck should be just as important as the brand and tread wear unless you just have money to throw away. You do have a choice.

also , I doubt that a 3 mpg drop would result from a tire change if the size remained the same

I lost maybe 1 mpg going up from 265/65/17 stockers to 275/70/17 E rated

add to that the fact that it doesn't appear that fuel mileage has been accurately calculated , you can't go by " I put in 20 dollars and the needle moved this far "

I've been getting poor mileage since I purchased new tires as well. Anyone have any ideas?

ya know, when you post stuff up like this, fill in the blanks, what size and rating, what did you have before...general complaining without background information doesn't help...

sorry it came out on your post, it just happens too often...problem solving needs proper information to regurgitate answers....I am tired, been chopping wood for winter heating all morning long, so I am testicular right now......

I found some sweet spots using my ultragauge and following the real fast moving big rigs on the interstate, no need to follow at arms length, there are several spots 100' to 200' feet back that give a good suck, nothing like a 75MPH big rig helping with the gas consumption...

    Is this thread in English?

OP. Please go fill your fuel tank. Drive it till its empty. Refill it. Then tell us how many gallons it took to fill the tank and how many miles were driven.
