So it's happened a handful of times, and I haven't found a single bit of information on this problem from all the searching I've done. I have a 2008 V6 4x4 TRD Off Road. Everything is stock.

When I go over a bump (such as a speed bump) at medium speeds, lets say around 15mph, I get a loud noise that sounds like it's coming from the engine, or front end in general. It's similar to the noise that the engine makes when revving in neutral, but a little more harsh sounding. This same things came happen while going over small bumps at higher speeds, like say 30+ mph, I'll get a loud VROOMM!

Anyone ever had experience with an issue like this? I'm totally lost on this one, so any help would be very appreciated!

Is it after you go over the bump amd give it some gas. Or is it as soon as you come to the bump/still going over the bump?

Usually happens right after the bump, no foot on gas.

Seems like it happens any time the IFS is "flexed" or articulated, but only at quick speeds. When I'm slowly crawling over rocks, there's no noises.

It sound like your transmission catching the correct gear after it had to slow down. Mine does it when I go over a couple of bumps or in stop/go traffic.

I'll mess around with it some more and try and get some more symptoms when I get off work tonight. Thanks for the help so far though, guys!

Same face I had when I first heard it.

Don't worry . It's just a little bit of the awesome escaping from your truck.

Definitely not, because I can tell the difference between revving the engine and this god awful sound.

Haha, if my truck was awesome, it would all make sense, but it's pretty much all stock :)
