I got the kickout because it could be used as a step into the bed to reach cargo..especially on a lifted truck ;)

Here is the install for the Bolt-on sliders..I took as many pics as I could

    The Prep and Paint:

    1) rub down the sliders with paint thinner to take off the protective oil they slip them with. Allow them to completely dry.

    2) 3 coats (both sides) of self etching primer to prevent rust. I let mine cure overnight.

    3) 4 coats (both sides) of your choice of finish; mine was Duplicolor matte black. Again, I let mine sure overnight.

    The Install:

Brandon made this process really simple as they use the existing threaded holes in the frame you just need to unscrew the plastic screws to access the threaded holes.

    1) I used jack stands to assist as I did the install by myself. Line up the slider on the jack stands and get them as close to the threaded holes.

    AvidSliders4_zpse7a16338_fad981bb1e25912a9f782eb0ee2e7a7c9f4073e4.jpg

I started in the middle by threading the bolts provided in a few turns. DO NOT TIGHTEN ALL THE WAY. This allows you to "tweak" the sliders so they line up on either end. Once all the bolts have been threaded, then you can tighten them up.

Repeat on the passenger side and the install is complete :D

The kick outs are definitely wide enough to keep rocks etc away from your rear fenders.

I decided to add some ladder griptape to the sliders attached with 3M adhesive in a can. The adhesive is really messy; take your time and make sure you mask off areas you don't want to have glue.

Little strip for the kickout to access the bed and cargo

Hope this helps OP! Let me know if you have any other questions and I can snap some more pics if necessary.

I took my bare metal sliders and had them sprayed with Line-x. Cost me $80, they're bulletproof, AND Line-x has a lifetime warranty. If it ever scratches, they'll respray for free...highly recommend Line-X!!!

Only downside is you have to ensure they avoid spraying inside of the u-channel frame mounts because they'll be a bitch to mount due to reduced clearance.

I think it gives you the option at checkout for an additional $20.00 or so...

There was an issue for me when ordering too. Brandon had to send me a link with all the info selected for me and I just had to enter my payment info.
