I have a 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 with a 3 inch lift and factory lower control arms and currently I have the factory wheels with 2" wheel spacers so that I could run 285/70/17s. I am in the process of purchasing some aftermarket wheels but I dont know all the specs I need to clear the lower control arms such as the backspacing.. I am wanting to run a 17x9 wheel! Thanks for the help

I've not done all the research on the tacos lifts yet, but just to help you getting the answer: Are you asking what the new wheel backspacing should be without the spacers being used again, or what the wheels should be with the spacers?

You should be fine with a 4.5" backspacing.

    -12 offset in a 9 inch wheel is a 4.5 backspace.

Here's a calculator, just input the width and the offset and it will tell you the backspace

I have the same lift, tire size , and wheels you are going to run. The wheels are 17 X 9 Moto Metals, they do have 4.5 inch backspacing and clear the factory LCA fine.

The "9" width in 17x9" is measured from inside the rim. The backspacing is measured from outside the rim (typically add 0.5").

Offset is measured from the wheel centerline and is in millimeters. -12mm is -0.47 inch. Negative means more outset.

    Backspacing of this wheel is therefore about 9/2 + 0.5 - 0.47 = 4.53", which is fine.

No. You have to find wheels with the bolt pattern of 6x5.5 with a 4.5" backspacing for your application.
