I know I havent been on in a long time but I recently joined the navy, been in bootcamp and now I have landed in Pensacola florida and I will be here for quite awhile so I picked up a new (to me) 2006 toyota tacoma double cab 4x4 and I am loving it. Many mods that i want to start but first have to start rebuilding my collection of tools and whatnot, or just pay for strangers to put it on... we all know that can be scary having another work on your truck tho. I also need to learn how to fish more saltwater! Enjoy, comment, mod ideas? Starting with full exhaust and headers and a k&n filter soon!

Nice looking '06, should make a nice platform to build off of. I wouldn't waste my money on a K&N though. I had one on a truck for years and recently on my last clean and re-oil I noticed there filter media was breaking down. Granted, it's an old filter, but it had holes running the edge of several of the pleates. I would just stick to OE filters and change them regularly. I tossed mine aside and went and got an OE filter.

figured it would give me better air flow, but ill definitely keep that in mind if i do end up doing the change over.
