5100's all around, fronts at 1.75". TSB leaf pack + Toytec TSB AAL
:woot: Finally got the lift purchased and installed. I can't thank everyone enough for the endless information, patient and thorough answers to questions, and everything else that comes with researching on this site. It truly is a great resource!

    Here are the details:
    Wheels: 17x9 Moto Metal 951b, 4.53" Backspace
    Tires: 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler Revo
Lift: 4 x Bilstein 5100's, fronts set to 1.75", Toytec 1/4" top plate spacer on driver's side, Toytec 1.5" TSB AAL in rear.

    Actual Height Measurements:
    Front Left Before: 35 1/4"
    Front Left After: 37 1/8"

    Front Right Before: 35 3/4"
    Front Right After: 37 1/8"

    Rear Left Before: 37 1/4"
    Rear Left After: 39"

    Rear Right Before: 37 3/4"
    Rear Right After: 39"

    Alignment specs (stock UCAs):
    Front Left:
    Camber: Actual = .8*, Before =.9*, Specified range = -.3 - 1.2*
    Caster: Actual = 1.4*, Before =.4*, Specified range = 1.4* - 2.9*
    Toe: Actual = .03*, Before = -.01*, Specified range = -.02* - .09*
    SAI: Actual = 10.9*, Before = 10.8* Specified range = 11.2* - 12.7*
    Included Angle: Actual = 11.8*, Before = 11.7*, Specified range = 11.0* - 14.0*

    Front Right:
    Camber: Actual = .8*, Before =.9*, Specified range = -.3 - 1.2*
    Caster: Actual = 1.5*, Before =.4*, Specified range = 1.4* - 2.9*
    Toe: Actual = .05*, Before = -.01*, Specified range = -.02* - .09*
    SAI: Actual = 11.4*, Before = 11.3* Specified range = 11.2* - 12.7*
    Included Angle: Actual = 12.2*, Before = 12.2*, Specified range = 11.0* - 14.0*

*Note: I'm not sure if the caster wasn't set to 0* on purpose or if they couldn't get it to 0* because of the lift and limitations of the stock UCA. I was told that my tires won't wear unevenly though. I'll take that for what it's worth, only time will really tell. All numbers are within 'spec' though.

So far I'm really enjoying it. The ride is much better than stock, even with the TSB AAL in my TSB leaf pack. It's a great ride. No crazy vibrations or anything like that either. I do have a VERY VERY minimal shudder when accelerating from a stop. It's hard to pinpoint, but it comes right around 5-7mph. It's quick and goes away very fast. At this point I'm not sure if I'm even going to worry about - especially if I can find out that no damage/wear will occur because of it. If anyone can confirm either way, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks again for the help!

Looks good and made a helluva difference.

You did what I plan on doing (4x5100, TSB AAL, top plate spacer). It's a nice lift for a nice price.

I am a bit concerned about your shudder and what causes it. So many other have not claimed such a shudder with the same life. Did they not have the spacer...could that be causing it? Or do the others just not notice or care to admit this shudder?

I knew you'd chime in - I remember you researching the same setup as me a few weeks back!

I'm 99% sure its coming from the rear, and I think it's common after lifting the rear. I've read that anything from greasing up the rear/drive shaft to adding shims or installing the carrier bearing drop kit will fix it. This is literally minimal though, it took me a day of driving around to even notice it. How I move forward with addressing it (if I do at all) will pretty much depend on what I hear about implications about just leaving it as is...

Keep in mind too, my truck has 8,000 miles on it, purchased new in November. I've hauled very minimally, so the TSB leaf pack might not even have settled that much. On top of that, I threw in the AAL. It could be that all this needs to settle, and the shudder will go away?? Just a thought.

I have 4 Billy's, a 1.5" AAL, New Front Springs and New TC UCA's sitting in my garage just waiting to be installed. I am trying to get the rear leaf TSB or lack there of completed on my '09 before I start adding parts.

I got everything installed at Hellbent Performance Offroad in Chesterfield, MO. Took them around 2.5 hours, they charged me $210. Very reasonable in my opinion.

I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone, so thats where I took it for the alignment.

I keep hearing about them, as well as PUR performance (1st Capitol 4wd) on Truman Rd in STC-- Have you ever dealt with them? They are super close to my work.

Did you just take the specs for the allignment to them and they did it?

I've never dealt with PUR Performance, never even heard of them.

I didn't take any specs in for the alignment. I just told them it had been lifted just short of 2", and to give it an alignment. They did their thing, and I asked for a print out of the alignment results.

Looks awesome. FWIW, I haven't touched my suspension yet (bone stock) and I have had the same shudder from take off since I bought my truck.

You should go and check them out some time. They carry EVERYTHING. They are right off the Cave Springs/Truman exit. Youll go north about 3/4 mi.

Truck looks good. Im right behind you with getting the billies.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm really enjoying it too. It is exactly what the truck needed.

Does anyone think I need to do anything with the inner CV joint boot? It looks like the fins are awefully close. Should I spread the boot out at all? I'm not worried about the angle, just thinking the boot could be spread out a bit to prevent them from rubbing. What do you think?

STLTaco09, others will need to address your question about the CV Joint Boot.

I appreciate you starting this thread, providing the height numbers, alignment results and all the contributing posts.
I am gathering the parts for this same lift. Have the TSB 4 leaf rear springs (waiting to settle a bit) and the 4 5100's arrived yesterday.

Still need to order the Toytec TSB AAL (or similar). Questions 'bout that AAL. What is the leaf length and where does it fit in the spring pack? Are there install instructions?

My only concern about the lift is setting a proper alignment. Does anyone else have alignment specs for this specific lift?
    Thanks!

I don't recall if there were instructions with it or not - I want to say there weren't though. Instructions did come with the 1/4" top plate spacer though from Toytec.

The TSB AAL goes in between the overload leaf and the top 3 leafs in the TSB leaf pack. I dont have measurements on it now, and it probably wouldn't be very accurate if I measure now when its on the truck, so sorry about that.

If you got the TSB leaf pack, it should have come with new ubolts. If you did in fact get them, then you shouldn't need longer U Bolts to incorporate the AAL.

You dont need longer U-bolts with an AAL. I have stock U-bolts w/ AAL now.

I just did the same thing to my silver taco! I used 2.5 on the front billys though and used the same 1.5" aal TSB. The truck is level! I have 32" Definity M/T on stock TRD wheels with Spidertrax spacers. The truck is absolutely awesome. :)

    Yours looks good! :)

Thanks for the info. Yes, it appears they put on new ubolts. 1/2 inch remains available (for the AAL). Will that suffice?
