    Good stinking Rich.

I got a recent call, automated.

Asked for social to verify recent hospital stay (oddly I did have one recent stay!).

    Just hung up.

Also got a recent notice from Citybank..... Yeah CitYbank about login issues.

    Phishing is getting rampant.

I've even gotten job offer phishing things. They are covering all stops. I feel sorry for anyone that falls in the trap.

Can't tell you how many phishing scams are out there. First thing I ask people now is what is the email address it was sent from. 199163qw@scam.com most of the time

....probably fairly likely that the scam sites work as good if not better than the "legitimate" scam site... :D

    LOL!

I almost typed "I wouldn't trust any site without a .gov domain"

But that would not be entirely true :D

We get calls like that practically every day! I'm trying to figure out how to stop them, but nothing has worked so far...

    You can't.

Do Not Call list helps, but it won't stop the offshore companies.

If that same place calls again I'll be in touch with FCC.

We kept getting calls from charter, sometimes 2 times per week.... Customer service said they had no control over it.... I called fcc, then called charter again and told them that I contacted FCC... Phone calls from them stopped immediately.

I still get one from some deranged "prophet" I've blocked the numbers through Verizon.... But they change their number once in awhile.... Again, FCC will be contacted again if it keeps up.

Usually ur landline company can issue a trap.... Then when u get one of these calls, u contact the phone company and tell them that the last number u got was from the harasser. I forgot what happens after that.... I've only done that once and it was about 10yrs ago.

The phishing scams are everywhere, whats scary is people are still dumb enough to fall for them. Somehow my cell phone number got on a call list and they call me all the time saying i won something or need to verify info for something, im running out of ways to screw with them.
