I know the Base Models don't have the privacy glass.

I think the SR is just a slightly better looking base model...color matched grill and bumper...stuff like that.

I have a rear slider I thought of selling out of my truck because I have a solid to replace it. Curious how much a slider goes for?

Pretty pricey IIRC. Curious as to why you are getting rid of your slider?

I very rarely have passengers, let alone the need to pass stuff through to the bed. And the odds of selling this truck are slim to none.

I haven't listed it yet. Not sure what the demand is. Also whats the cost to swap over vs. what I get in selling it?

Gotcha. I love mine for the simple fact of being able to open it on a nice day. A lot of air through there.

I would have no clue on price, but I've seen them offered here before. Maybe a little searching might bring something up. Also I don't think its that hard of a job to do it. Even seen guys on here talk about doing it themselves. So probably wouldn't be to much to swap it. A quick call to an auto glass place for an estimate would be simple enough. :notsure:

They are nearly impossible to remove without destroying them. I don't know what kind of magical unicorn tear and unobtanium mixture that back window glue is made out of, but it is tough shit.

Just put a power slider kit on it. Don't have to worry about reaching back, and the kit "locks" the slider in place. I love mine.

I thought the power slider kit is no longer available.
I'd like to get rid of mine. I never open it (DC) and the only one who tried was from outside the truck and fck'd up the rubber. (Bastard)

Definitely worth having the rear privacy sliding glass. Specially when you convert it to a power sliding rear glass.

    Here's mines :D

He doesn't sell the kit anymore, but he did put out infos on how he made his kit. He just ask that no one mass produce it for profit.

I don't have his kit so I ended up doing my own thing. Only thing I bought from him is the window bracket.

    Check out his original thread.

My SR5 had the sliding rear window. I replaced it with a solid glass after a sticker I had on the slider ripped the entire seal out around the slider. I like it much better because I have a clear view now in my rear view mirror. Also makes it one less place for someone to break into the truck.

I've considered this for sure. Our trucks have glue in back glass (I've done a few of the rope types). This makes it a non DIY for me. What did replacing it run?
When your old slider came out, did you get a look @ it? You think it could have been repaired and replaced?
