    Often.
    Not always.

    I don't think any of the 2.7 are pre-wired.

Need some help! Dealership has told me over the phone they are almost certain the 2013 Tacoma 4cyl 4x4 is pre wired for fog lamps. So I bought a set of fog lamps, ordered the relay, and ordered a very expensive switch from the dealership.

My problem is, I cannot find the wiring? Trying to do it myself and stay away from the dealership.

Can anyone help me find the wiring or a diagram of where the factory has put them?

The picture in the tread of where the relay goes is different than mine, I do not have a small box attached to the larger box, just one box behind the battery, which appears to have a place for the relay.

Looked at the under hood fuse box, nothing in the diagram about fog lights. So I guess I am out of luck. I currently have two oem fog lights mounted in my brand new tacoma access cab, with no wiring. Now what??

WOT did not like that site, and it tried to store a cookie "for checkout" that was rejected.
Funny, because I've been shopping online for months with these settings and have never seen that warning before.

    I wouldn't trust that vendor.

Well its official my 2013 Taco, 4 cy, 4x4 is not prewired fog lights as the dealership stated prior to purchase, so I purchased a scion lit fog light switch, some H11 connector wires and a relay. Planning on creating a wiring harness, with an inline fuse once the items arrive, crossing my fingers.

Anyone know if my Taco would happen to be prewired for the back up camera, and if so where to buy the camera and how to getting it to work?:)

If you aren't prewired for fogs, you are not likely prewired for the camera.

Thanks, it's weird on the right inside of the truck bed there is a warning sticker about removal of the tailgate could cause damage if it isn't disconnected,

I believe that the wire is on the driver side except it does not run into the tailgate. Should end by the left side of the rear bumper.

My 2013 base 4x4 4 cyl auto does not have the backup camera option- BUT there is wiring from under my rear end of truck / harness into the bottom of the tailgate via a disconnect. I do not know if the camera is the tailgate or not - but the wiring is there and must be disconnected before the tailgate can be removed.

Remember - Be sure to put a pipe clamp and or lock on your tailgate to prevent theft !!!

Camera is on the tailgate handle on the right end. The "lever" is a bit shorter and the camera occupies the last inch or two. You'd know it if you had it.
That goes double if you have the camera since a damaged harness is not likely to be cheap to replace.

ok folks.. I brought the kit like trooper12 have. I did a bit differnt but not much. I like to have the on/off swtich for the fog lights so I use it if need to. I set up the lights like Trooper had done. The relays, body ground is attached next to the main fuse box. Run the wires thru firewall. The other end is the switch. put in one of empty slot next to blinker side. Its not nessuery to take off the lower panel off, just snake the wire thru the slot. Make connections. Here the part is only differnt: I ran another wire thru firewall to connect the red wire. The other end which runs to the the socket for the High/low beam plug. look for the red/orange strip wire. which is the low beam, plug the red wire in there. So this way you are 50 state legal spec for low beam with fog light on. high beam/ no fog light on. You can anytime turn off fog light by hitting the switch. Pics to follow this weekend. cam wont work good in windy cold 19 degree NY weather.

Found the wiring harness behind the tailgate cover on the inside, just wondering if I install the camera if it will work inside somehow on the the touch screen display. Any thoughts folks?

^I think there's a thread somewhere here where they've made that happen. Not sure.

Also, wanted to thank the folks of this thread. I put in the fog lights, relay, and switch yesterday in about thirty minutes. Easy, and for 140 bucks you can't beat it.

(of course I bought the amber switch on accident and am sending it back:eek:)/story of my life.
