I recently bought a TRD Quickshift kit, and was hoping to upgrade the knob as well.

I looked at the OEM White 6 speed knob, which is nice, but then I saw the FRS knob. Must better looking IMO. The only downside is the knob is black with red trim, while the OEM shift boot is grey.

    Has anyone tried it?

I too thought of the frs knob. The one on my truck is a blank knob and worn down. People always ask me the position of reverse since my taco is a six speed. I think it would fit. I just havent got around to buying one. Just go to a dealership and unscrew the knob real quick and check if the threading is the same, hehe.

A little of this and a little of that.
I like the FRS shift knob, except for the red stitching.

Maybe a black sharpie or fine tip permanent marker could be used to conceal the red stitches?

I was actually looking for the FR-S knob 2nd hand at a decent price (everyone seemed to have wanted $100+ for theirs).

Taco's and the Toyobaru both have M12x125 threaded shift knobs so it should actually just screw right on but I don't know if it'll perch too tall or if you'll need the bolt to align the knob.

EDIT: Thats the TRD knob, This is the OEM knob (that i was looking for[Same fitment though])
