I've had an LED Dash swap for a few weeks now and today my Temp and Gas Gauge went dark while driving. I assume I hit a bump and maybe jarred an LED loose.

The speedo and Tach still have light, the needles for temp and gas still work. Just the backlight part went out.

Are these 2 gauges connected? Would a burnt out LED in one of the gauges cause both to lose power or is a loose connection likely the culprit.

I'm no help because I haven't swapped my cluster LEDs but I don't think they are linked as in one LED, so then maybe both were bumped both out of place (hear any LEDs rattling?) Otherwise did you ask the individual who did the swap? Because I'd imagine they should stand behind their work and redo those 2.

It should look something like this back there:

There are 2-3 LED's per gauge, so it is not a single LED that died, it is the group.

It is nearly impossible that both gauges would die over the same bump. More likely that one LED died and the 2 gauges are wired in series.

PM Jerez, he does gauge swaps so he'd know.
