What do y'all think? I think they are pretty cool but expensive as shit. I saw an app called roll me over got the trial looks cool. Are these things useful at all or just a clever gimmick?:notsure:

I used to have one...when I was actually close to tipping it would be the furthest thing from my mind and I'd be paying attention to the trail

Haha yea that makes sense. I was on a trail today with a lot of roll and pitch and wondered what my angles were but I guess when you would really need to know them it would be the last thing on your mind

Not as cool as a purpose-built inclinometer, but if you just want to get an idea of your angles there's a ton of phone apps that would work provided the phone was in a solid mount. Some of them free. Tourque has one.

Gimmick in my book; seems to me if you need one to tell you what is going on, you shouldn't be there

If you have one mounted permanently... you can make marks on them swith a sharpie showing your new pucker factor. Thus leaving you to know how far you can push your rig before it becomes too much.

I think that inclinometers can be useful, IF you take 30 minutes to figure out the side-angle tipping points of the truck. Otherwise, it's just another distraction.

Alton NH huh? Me too. Anyways, figuring out the side angle tipping points sounds like a fun project!

I use mine often for reference when things get hairy. 40* is as far as I have gotten it, 30 is when it starts to feel realllly sketchy. Picked it up at West Marine for like $15 IIRC.

There's only one inclinometer that you need, and you already have it. By the seat of your pants!!!!

Besides, each truck is different. Rollover points are different. Unless of course, you want to purposely roll your truck to find out that exact point of damnation. Go 4 it. Otherwise.... listen to your ASS-meter!!
