Just bought 2 sets of 130w kc long range driving lights to put on my 2002 taco hunting truck. I'm reading the install instructions that say I can only wire 2 together. Do you think I should return for 100w so I can wire all 4 together? I'm not sure what to do

LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
So they came with a wiring harness? One for each set?

Are you trying to just have one switch for all four lights? If so, all you have to do is wire them up using one wiring harness and relay for each pair of lights (should be packaged that way), but only install one switch, then run a jumper wire from one relay to the other so that the second set will run off the first set's switch.

If that's what you are trying to do I can be more detailed.

    My 2 cents:
We used to run KC & similar incandescent lights in the 80s/90s on our hunting trucks. While they throw real far, they use a ton of power and the bulbs burn out and break often (so always have spares bulbs & fuses!)

While the advice above is a great solution. If you are not an expert at wiring. Just run 1 relay/1switch for 2 lights. I used to run the 2 inside lights together and the 2 outside lights. So yes, running 2 switches/harnesses will be the simplest solution.

Also, I remember buying 130W KCs and when the bulbs burned out..had a hard time find the 130w replacements...turns out the 100W bulbs were just as bright and you couldn't notice the difference.

A LED light bar is the way to go these days...barely use any power, bulbs will never break or burn out. I prefer my LED light bar to my HID 700FF Hellas.

I didn't realize this would be a problem when I ordered these. I will probably only be using these when driving from camp to stand etc. and hunting for a deer in the dark. At this point since I ordered the lights (if they are going to be too big of a drain on elec. system) would it be to my advantage to remove the bulbs and replace with 100w ones.
I was thinking that I was going to wire these up using 2 relays but then only 1 switch if that will work
    whatcha think?
