IMO thats too high for a 2006. You can find a newer truck for that.

I mean I bought mine for that! and its a 2012!

Overpriced for what looks to be a PreRunner SR5 model with that mileage. But he does say 17.5 OBO so maybe he is aiming high to get a good offer?

Up here I couldn't find anything for under $16k. I think it just depends on the market.

I would say under 14,000 with those miles around here. That new was around $22,000 back in 2006.

This is the exact problem I am having in TX. Trying to buy a 2nd gen Taco 4x4, preferably TRD Offroad (which is hard to find in TX), with about 110K miles. Pricing hovers around $18K - $20K. Get under the 100K mark takes the price up to $22K.

Recently saw a list of top 10 resale value vehicles. FJC was #1 and Taco #2. My 4th gen 4Runner was #8.

As a Tacoma truck owner who may someday sell his truck I say his price is just right. ;)

Thanks! Trying to add a Taco to the arsenal for my son's 17th birthday. Right now he drives my 4Runner and is never home, which means I can't get any of my 4Runner projects done. Time to get him is own rig.

Hahaha! I did find it funny that when I came on here yesterday to browse the classifieds looking for a Tacoma, I found an Audi A4 listed. Meanwhile over on the Audizine forum, there's a lively discussion of guys showing off their Tacomas and 4Runners. I suspect all the BMW guys drive Jeeps.

Jeep owners like buying things that break. The new Audi's are sweet. My roommate has an A6 and a girl a few buildings down just got a new S4.

Oh and here's a 4x4 Sport with 125k for 18k kinda close to you

That one is on my list, but I really want the TRD Offroad model since it comes with the rear diff locker.

    Location maybe?

I sure wouldn't consider a 2006 w/170,000 on the odo for $17,500. He does say "asking" & OBO and it's easier to swim downstream so he may just be testing the market???

Wow, I never ralized a used Taco could command such a high price! I sold my last one with 92,000 miles to my Daughter for $1500 just so she would not think I was giving her a vehicle. She started working at Pets Mart and saved up the money in like 2 months and then I had to sell it. It is a 5 lug 2WD but still looks good and drives same as new. It is a manual transmission and she learned to shift and clutch in about three hour long sessions. Now she is one of veryy few "kids" that can drive a manual transmission car.

So it was a great deal for her, reliable transportation, and she learned to save for something she wanted. She is a good kid too.
